HOSPITALITY  

The ministry of the Companions is to provide retreat accommodations, primarily for married couples, but also for single men and women and small groups.  At the Companions, retreatants live within the community and immerse themselves into the daily rhythm of our monastic life.  Times for meditation, prayer, reading and relaxation are interspersed between times of work and liturgical services. 
 

As the companions share their monastic life with their guests, they easily interact with community members, helping with meal preparation, cleanup, gardening, or whatever needs to be done.  Even a brief stay in a monastic community provides an opportunity for guests to rediscover the values that give meaning to their lives.  Our woodland sanctuary gardens and woodland trails allow guests to withdraw from a noisy, hectic environment in the workplace to a quiet, natural sanctuary to commune with nature and reflect in silence on the beauty of creation.  

Retreats may be scheduled for two or more days, starting on Tuesday and ending with the midday meal on Sunday. Accommodations are available year round with the exception of community retreat times. If you desire to schedule a retreat, or would like more information, see Contact Us.
